Author Guidelines
International Journal of Islamic Studies and Social Sciences (IJISS)
The International Journal of Islamic Studies and Social Sciences (IJISS) invites authors to submit original and high-quality manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in Islamic studies and social sciences. All submissions must comply with the journal’s academic standards and ethical requirements.
General Requirements
- Manuscripts must be written in English.
- Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process.
- Authors must ensure their work is free from plagiarism and complies with publication ethics.
Manuscript Structure
Authors are required to organize their manuscripts using the following structure:
- Title (clear, concise, and informative)
- Author(s) name and affiliation
- Abstract (150–250 words)
- Keywords (3–5 keywords)
- Introduction
- Literature Review
- Methodology
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
Formatting Guidelines
- Manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format.
- Use Times New Roman, 12 pt, with 1.5 line spacing.
- Manuscript length should be between 5,000–8,000 words.
- All pages must be numbered consecutively.
References
- All references must follow the APA (7th Edition) citation style.
- Ensure that all sources cited in the text are included in the reference list, and vice versa.
- Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley.
- Where available, include DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for all references.
- References should prioritize recent and relevant scholarly sources.
Citation Management
Authors are encouraged to use citation management tools such as Mendeley to ensure accuracy and consistency in formatting references according to APA (7th Edition). Proper citation management enhances the quality, readability, and credibility of the manuscript.
Submission Process
- Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system.
- Authors must complete all required metadata (title, abstract, keywords, and author details).
- Submit a blinded manuscript file to ensure a fair peer review process.
Publication Ethics
IJISS adheres to internationally recognized standards of publication ethics and follows COPE principles. Authors must avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and duplicate publication.
Authors are strongly advised to review these guidelines carefully prior to submission to facilitate an efficient editorial and review process.
